In order to honor history, pay tribute to heroes, and carry forward the glorious tradition of supporting the military and their families, on July 25, under the guidance of the Veterans Affairs Office of Kenli District, Dongying City, the “Remembering History, Warming the Hearts of Veterans” campaign was jointly organized by Dongying Qianshan Charity Center and Shandong Near Chemical Co., Ltd. representatives visited veterans and demobilized soldiers, delivering warm greetings and sincere care.
On the day of the event, company representatives delivered essential supplies such as rice, flour, and cooking oil to seven veterans living in Kenli Street. The veterans vividly recounted the brutality of war and stated, “Every inch of our land is carried in our hearts. No matter who tries to take it, we will never retreat.” Many Chinese sons and daughters gave their lives for the nation and the people. The peace we enjoy today was hard-won — as one veteran put it, “We fought so that our next generation wouldn’t have to.” As the Army Day (August 1st) approaches, this moment serves as a poignant reminder to cherish peace and honor our soldiers.
Going forward, we will incorporate this respect and gratitude into our daily actions, caring for retired soldiers and passing on their spirit. We aim to deepen public understanding of history, honor heroes, and let the seeds of peace take root in every heart. May the words “There is no quiet time, only because someone bears the burden for you” forever remind us to appreciate the present and pay tribute to those who came before.
During a brief discussion, Mr.Adam, CEO of Shandong Near Chemical, said, “We have never treated charity as a publicity tool or a way to build our reputation. Vulnerable groups such as veterans, people with disabilities, and children with autism require sustained attention and genuine care from society. Fulfilling corporate social responsibility (CSR) is a fundamental obligation for us.”
This veteran outreach event is a key part of the company’s “Social Care Initiative,” which aims to establish long-term and institutionalized support for disadvantaged groups. It includes visits to special education schools, companionship for disabled children, rural education support, and environmental protection actions — transforming public welfare from isolated acts of kindness into a sustainable mechanism.
“While the power of a single activity may be limited, sustained care can converge into a mighty river,” the company shared. “We hope to incorporate compassion for special groups into our corporate culture, creating a grassroots-driven force for good. Through material donations, regular visits, and emotional support, we aim to deliver warmth where it is most needed.” At the same time, the company also calls on more enterprises and individuals to join public welfare efforts — “Even the faintest light can reflect a galaxy.”
As a company deeply rooted in the international chemical trade for decades, Shandong Near Chemical has always believed that commercial value and social value are not mutually exclusive, but can stimulate and support each other. This public welfare campaign reflects the company's proactive commitment to social responsibility and proves that — when business strength meets humanistic care, it can light a beam of hope for vulnerable groups and help guide the world toward a warmer and more orderly future.
